Local History Week

Every class in the school has been looking at our local area for ‘Local History Week’. The children in Year 1 visited our local park, East Park, which opened in 1887 and is the largest in Hull. The children were very interested in the Victorian Khyber Pass and the famous 1929 Wickstead Splashboat that is Grade II listed. They also enjoyed seeing the animals and other wildlife. How lucky we are to have this fascinating history right on our doorstep!
