At Alderman Cogan’s we have a 26 place Nursery in its own setting. A child can be considered for a nursery place from the start of the term after their third birthday as shown below:

Children over three years old are funded by the government for 15 hours a week at a nursery. Most nursery places at Alderman Cogan’s are for 15 hours of the early education entitlement to ensure that the maximum number of children are given the opportunity to access school provision. There are also limited number of extended early education places.
From a recent independent review led by a National Leader of Education:
“The nursery environment is bright, welcoming and purposeful and has a real focus on learning. Children are keen to engage with adults about learning and they clearly enjoy being in the school. There are high expectations, with a strong focus on language development.”
Additional hours may be purchased, subject to availability. Our session times are 8:30am to 11:30am and 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
Please note that if a child gets a place in the nursery at the school, it does not automatically follow that he/she will get a place in the school.
