The children in the Foundation Stage 2 have high quality continuous provision that enables them to learn new knowledge and skills through their play with adult support. The topics are a guide to the knowledge, skills and experiences and to spark their enthusiasm for learning. They are carefully planned to ignite learning of all children within their developmental stage. Provision is observed and enhanced to meet the interests and needs of all children to ensure they meet the developmental milestones, enabling them to do, know and learn more. The Knowledge and Skills Progression Documents provide further guidance on what the children will learn, know and be able to do by the end of Nursery to ensure they are ‘Year One’ Ready.
