Reading in the Community

Some of our children have been paying regular visits to Churchill House Residential Home to read with the residents.  Interacting with people of a different generation can be very valuable to both parties and these regular visits have been enjoyed by the residents and children alike.  This scheme is beneficial to our pupils in helping them become more confident readers and it is helping to bridge the gap between old and young people, fostering a greater understanding between the generations.  We look forward to continuing to enjoy our link with Churchill House.
