The school provides daily nutritional hot meals which are cooked on the premises and cost £1.50 in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Children in Foundation Stage 2, Year 1 and Year 2 currently receive Universal Infant Free School Meals.
School meals are available free of charge to all families who fulfill a set criteria. We would encourage you to have a look at the online Free School Meals Application Form to see if your child might be entitled, even if they do not wish to have a school meal every day. What you may not know is that our school funding each year depends on the number of children entitled to free meals. Alderman Cogan’s uses a site called ParentPay to allow parents and carers to book and pay for their child’s meals online. Each day there is a choice of three main courses and booking meals on ParentPay ensures that children receive the meal they prefer. Meals must be booked up to 10 days before the end of the month for the following month to allow the cook to order the food from her suppliers. Free meals and paid meals must be booked on ParentPay. When your child starts school the office staff will provide you with a username and password.
